In the 70s of the twentieth century, the town of Slonim grew and became more beautiful.  Town’s industry was graining power. On the map, a new enterprise "Worsted Spinning Factory"has appeared, and together with it on a small hill a new area started to be built,  the name of which - "Textile worker", because the families of workers were planned to live there. Gradually  the streets Ershova and Topoleva were formed. This area "Textile worker" was the youngest, and populous one of the town.

 School number 10 couldn’t accommodate the children living there.  It was decided to build a new school in the town.

 Both adults and children were preparing a new school for the first school year. It was necessary to remove not only the garbage and remnants of building materials, but also to prepare the classrooms to receive children.

 High school №3 was opened  on September 1, 1984. It was an unforgettable event, dedicated to the beginning of the school year and the opening of the school, and a significant event for the residents of the town of Slonim. Therefore, the celebration was very overcrowded.

The chief of construction management number 187 A.A.Krupko  handed over the symbolic key to the headmaster of the school of L.M.Pekarskaya.  A word of congratulations and farewell sounded to school students at the festival. A capsule was laid in the wall of the school building with the parting words to future generations - to study hard and love the motherland. 

First day of school was filled with joyful smiles of children and adults, colors and music.
